New Lab Extruder

On February 22, 2011, in Company News, Products, by admin

As part of our ongoing expansion and investment Prisma colour have just invested in a 16mm twin screw extruder.  The machine has been installed in our thermoplastic lab alongside our existing twin screw.  Both machines are dedicated to producing masterbatch samples for customer trials.  This investment will improve our ability to respond to market requests.

The machine is fitted with an interchanging strand line and blown film line attachment so as well as increasing our sample capacity we will be able to better serve thin wall applications such as tape and film.

Prisma Colour Help Seadogs Raise Charity Cash

Brighouse Town have given their full support to Scarborough Athletic’s Breast Cancer Awareness Charity Day on Saturday.

Scarborough will be playing in pink for their KoolSport NCEL Premier Division match with Brighouse at the Queensgate Stadium and there are a number of fundraising events taking place during the day. See here for more details.

Brighouse Town vice chairman Ray McLaughlin has contacted them to pledge £50 to sponsor a shirt and offered another £50 to bid for the shirt at the post-match auction.

And, Town committeeman Mark (Josh) Wood has kindly agreed to sponsor the pledges through Prisma Colour Ltd where he is a Sales Director.

Brighouse will also be running a raffle for a bottle of malt whiskey, a bottle of wine and a case of lager this week in the run-up to the game.

Tickets are £1 each with all proceeds being added to money already pledged.

A club spokesperson said: “Brighouse Town have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and goodwill they received after the fire at the Dual Seal Stadium.

“And we see Scarborough’s Charity Day as an ideal opportunity to give something back and support one of our fellow clubs and a fantastic cause like Breast Cancer Awareness.”

Prisma Colour – Securing your supply chain

On September 10, 2010, in Company News, by admin

Despite continuing “doom and gloom” in the press and across industry Prisma Colour continues to expand and increase its sales. With this growth comes increased pressure to maintain sources of the high quality raw materials required. Titanium dioxide, Phthalocyanine and certain organic pigments have been in particulary short supply and while our customers have experienced seamless delivery and reliable lead times from us, we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to, identify alternatives to existing materials and qualify new ones. These efforts ensure Prisma Colour remains your best partner for productivity.
